Terrell A. Crochet, AIA, NCARB, President
Over Forty years of architectural experience and is well versed in all aspects of architecture. His main area of expertise is in health care, institutional and commercial new construction and renovation. Since establishing Architects’ Design Studio in 1991, Terry has been involved with many projects in Hospital, Health Care Facilities, Industrial and Commercial Buildings. Mr. Crochet has extensive involvement with A.D.A. Compliance. One of Mr. Crochet’s most impressive projects is having been selected as the Health Care Facilities Architect and Equipment Planner for a new town being constructed in Irian Jaya, Indonesia. Terry’s role in the Kaulakenchana project was a result of his role as Project Architect for the completed replacement hospital for Freeport Indonesia, located in Tembagapura Irian Jaya, Indonesia. Terry, the winner of several design awards, has also been selected to provide consulting services for the U.S. Public Health Service in the development of Community Health Clinics across the United States as a result of the completed Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center. Terry received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1981. He is a registered Architect in Louisiana, Texas, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. Terry is NCARB Certified, General Contractor Licensed and Assisted Living Administrator Certified. Terry has also received registration from the State of California Emergency Management Agency as a Building Safety Assessment Evaluator which is a national certification.
Richard “Ty” Dartez, Project Manager
Associate AIA, Leed AP BD+C
In excess of thirty years of architectural experience, Ty is well versed in every aspect of project management, planning and design. It is his firm belief the client is the guide whom lays the foundation for understanding the clients business, their needs, their issues and their goals. Thus, ultimately knowing the client. It is this close attention which develops a clear focus and is essential in establishing a positive direction for the design and overall development of a project. The ultimate measure of a projects success is not through the eyes of the architect, but through its service to the client and users. His multi-disciplinary experience, with an emphasis on healthcare design and planning, provides innovative solutions appropriate to each project’s needs. Ty received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southwest Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Clarence J. Champagne, Jr., Project Manager
Professional Building Designer
Over Twenty-Five years of architectural experience, CJ has been an integral part of the company since its inception in 1991. Cj’s work is diverse, innovative, and extends through all aspects of everyday life. He is skillful and experienced in Design, Planning, Detailing, Specifications, Project Management, Field Quality Control, Client and Contractor Relations, Analysis of Code Compliance, Contract Administration, along with various other skills which have produced quality and innovative projects. CJ received his Associate of Drafting and Design Technology as well as an honor award for Excellence in Scholarship in 1989. He is a member of the American Institute of Building Design and received the honor and title of Professional Building Designer from AIBD in 2001.
Rorey Foco, Intern Architect
Several years of architectural experience, Rorey received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2000. Rorey has extensive experience in design and drafting. His primary responsibilities include design and preparation of construction documents using both CADD and REVIT.
Julie P. Comeaux, Notary, Office Manager
Fifteen years with Architects’ Design Studio, Julie received her Associate of Office Technology in 1999. Julie’s primary responsibilities include preparation of specifications, AIA Contracts, Full-Charge Accounting, Brochures, and maintaining a working relationship with owners, engineers and contractors.
Jenna Funk, Administrative Assistant
Several years with Architects’ Design Studio. Jenna’s primary responsibilities include answering phone calls, reproduction of plans and specifications and all front office duties.
